Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai athlete from Peru, and mixed martial artist who is a part of her country in UFC in the Flyweight Division is currently fighting. She is the older sister of her fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fighting sporting career by becoming a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals via the unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko won her second gold medal in 2007 with a bronze award in 2008. She also won a gold in 2011, she was named the 2016 IFMA World Amateur Muay Thak Champion. Antonia began her professional career at the age of 2003. She won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 along with The Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships in 2016, as well as the WMC World Championships as well as Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas, who was a participant at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won the fight via unanimity. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous vote, after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She resigned from the organization and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina employed her impressive fighting abilities and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. Antonina's UFC contract was extended following this win. Antonina took part in her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale to be fought by Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi with a split decision fight. She won the initial fight via unanimous decision. Antonina bounced back from losing and defeated Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night in this match. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her subsequent three bouts. She defeated Ariane Lipski but fell to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee.
